Update From Cricket Southern Bayside

Season 2020/2021 Update From Cricket Southern Bayside
The current ‘covid-19’ environment has made planning for the current season challenging. The Competition Advisory Group has, and will continue to plan for numerous different scenarios and understand that it is vital to remain flexible in terms of our thinking on how the season will unfold. Central to our thinking has been to ensure that as much cricket as possible can be played whilst ensuring that the integrity of the competition remains intact. With that in mind we can announce that the 2020/21 CSB Men’s Turf Competition will be a One Day Competition (for all grades including Saturday and Sunday competitions). At this stage a planned start date of 7th November 2020 is anticipated. That start date is of course dependant on a number of factors which will ultimately determine if that date is achievable. Numerous contingencies (start dates) have been planned for and will allow us to be adaptable in our changing environment including reformatted the fixture if and when required.
In the coming weeks the Competition Advisory Group will be looking at fixturing, playing conditions, working with the umpires in preparing for the coming season, working through player points and various other necessary tasks. It is my intention to provide you all with regular updates from this point forward in my role as the CAG chairman.
